Heart Evangelista has admitted that she and Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero are dating.
“We’re not officially together. We’re just enjoying each other’s company, but that’s just it for now,” the actress told News5 and InterAksyon backstage at Mall of Asia Arena during the Dolphy Alay Tawa tribute concert on Wednesday night.
Heart, 27, said she and the senator, who will turn 43 on October 10 and whose marriage was annulled earlier this year, went on a date “just the other day”. But she tried to qualify what exactly is going on between them.
“I don’t know what you call it these days. If it’s a meeting, a date or getting to know you? I think it’s all of the above,” she said, echoing his earlier claim that they have been “meeting” instead of “dating”.
Heart declined to give any details for the meeting slash date. She also claimed that her famous tweet last week about “missing her Chiz Curls” was about her favorite cheesy corn snack and not about the senator.
“Hindi talaga siya ‘yun dahil lagi ko kasi siyang ka-text! ‘Yung chiz ng chiz curls nag-capital C kaya nagkamali. Akala ng mga tao siya talaga,” she said, laughing.
But Heart admitted that he is one of the reasons she is feeling good nowadays.
She is proud to be good terms again with Marian Rivera, with whom she famously feuded on the set of “Temptation Island” last year.
She is also very pleased about her friendship with her ex-boyfriend, TV5 hunk Daniel Matsunaga, whom she even met backstage during the Dolphy Alay Tawa concert.
“It’s nice that you’re friends with your ex. But Daniel and I, we’re good friends. We’ve been through a lot together,” she said.
