Lian Paz denies she dated another man and caused split with Paolo Contis

After denying that husband Paolo Contis’ womanizing caused their separation, dancer-actress Lian Paz was shocked to learn of a different rumor suggesting that it was she  who had been unfaithful.

In a phonepatch interview with the hosts of “Ang Latest Updated” on Saturday, Lian found herself on the receiving end of an unexpected question from Cristy Fermin, who asked if it was true that Paolo had caught her dating another man in Makati shortly before he moved out of their home on September 12.

Sounding dumbfounded, the former EB Babe said: “Ako po?

Lian, who works for a publicity firm besides being in the cast of the TV5 fantasy series “Enchanted Garden”, suggested that she might have been seen with male colleagues or clients.

In fact, after Lian broke the news to the media on Thursday, the reason for the sudden end of their four-year relationship, which was sealed by a civil wedding in 2010 and gifted with two daughters, remains shrouded in mystery.

“Yun pong hindi namin pinagkasunduan is actually not clear to me,” she admitted to Cristy, and co-hosts Lucy Torres-Gomez, Amy Perez, and Mr. Fu.

“Kasi si Pao is the type of person na talagang tahimik ‘yan, e. So siguro po there’s a problem between the two of us, ‘yun po yung miscommunication po talaga,” she surmised.

Lian confirmed an earlier admission that it was Paolo who called the decision. The actor left for the U.S. on Thursday to join the cast and crew of “Manny Many Prizes” in a taping of the game show in Los Angeles.

Opo, yes, I’m giving him time to think about everything kasi mahirap naman po kung ipilit ko nang ipilit ‘yung sitwasyon kung bakit siya nakipaghiwalay,” she said.

She is keeping herself strong for her two daughters, Xonia, 2, and Xalene, 1.

“When it comes to the kids naman, nandito lang po ako para sa mga anak ko, kaya nagpapakatatag po ako sa ngayon para sa mga anak ko,” she said.

Likewise Lian admitted that the financial challenge of raising their children may have contributed to their marital woes.

She hopes to change Paolo’s mind when he returns from his U.S. trip.

Asked for a direct message to Paolo, Lian obliged with an appeal for reconciliation: “Babe, Papa, mahal ko, sana po ano, mag-isip ka nang maayos.
