Melissa Ricks proudly revealed to the media on Thursday that her romance with “Pinoy Big Brother” alumnus Paul Jake Castillo is going strong after almost seven months.
“My family loves Paul Jake. Sobrang he’s very welcomed. Pupunta kami sa States sa November. Sana ma-meet niya mommy ko,” she said during a press conference for her FHM magazine cover this month.
The actress is very open about her relationship these days, prompting comparisons with her previous relationship, which was shrouded in secrecy and became public only after it had already ended.
Melissa is very pleased that Paul Jake makes no effort to hide their romance from the prying eyes of the public.
“Never siya nag-isip na itago natin ‘to. Ang unang tanong nga niya sa ‘kin, ‘Sasabihin ba natin?’ Sabi ko, ‘Oo, bakit hindi?’ Di ba?” she said.
Melissa admits her previous relationship, with actor Jake Cuenca, had ended badly and they remain on unfriendly terms.
She is thankful that her romance with Paul Jake has so far been easy and worry-free.
“Ibang happiness ang naano ko ngayon. Hindi ako nai-stress. Hindi ako worried. Alam ko kahit anong mangyari ‘andiyan siya to support me,” she said.
