MANILA, Philippines- The Colombian beauty competing in this year’s Miss Universe pageant was told by organizers to wear underpants and deemed her panty-less outfits “inappropriate”.
According to FoxNews.com’s entertainment column, “Pop Tarts”, Catalina Robayo, the 22-year old candidate from Colombia, was “reprimanded” by Miss Universe officials after a photo of the candidate, wearing a revealing dress sans panties, appeared in Brazillian newspapers. The pageant will be held in Sao Paolo, Brazil on Tuesday (Manila time).
“Colombia had to be spoken to and told she needed to wear underpants as what she was doing was totally inappropriate,” a “close source” told Pop Tart.
“People have been pretty upset by it; there have been photos and media appearances where she has completely had her crotch out,” the source added.
In an interview with the website, Paula Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization said Robayo told them that she was wearing panties in in her outfits.
“But regardless, it created quite a stir here for a few days,” Shugart added.
This photo of Robayo without panties has made the rounds of several popular websites all over the globe.
