PHOTO | Latest Gretchen Barretto pics show swollen, bloodshot eyes

Gretchen poses with her Zumba classmates in this photo she posted on Instagram Thursday morning.

Gretchen Barretto remained mum on Thursday on the raging feud with sister Claudine that has split their family, posting her usual Zumba post-workout photos on her Instagram account.

But if a picture paints a thousand words, the photos Gretchen posted Thursday morning said more than enough about how much she was hurting.

A couple of photos of the actress with her Zumba classmates clearly showed her eyes were swollen and bloodshot from too much crying.

This was immediately noticed by her social media followers, who spoke up and tried to cheer up the embattled actress, who must have been distressed by the scathing open letter sent out by her mother early Wednesday, in which the latter defended her youngest daughter Claudine and called Gretchen “evil”.

“Eyes don’t lie! Cheer up, Miss Gretchen,” said one of Gretchen’s followers. Many others followed suit and exhorted the actress to stay strong.

Joaquin Barretto, older brother to Gretchen, Marjorie and Claudine, rose to Gretchen’s defense with his own open letter to their mother Inday sent out late Wednesday. He reminded Inday that Gretchen had been the family’s breadwinner since age 12 and had sacrificed her own education to put her siblings to school.

He also claimed that it was Claudine who had started this latest feud by bashing Marjorie’s daughter Julia in social media.
