After tweeting about his visit to the Philippines on Friday, Gabriel Macht arrived in Ormoc City on Saturday to support the typhoon relief efforts under Globe Telecom’s Project Wonderful initiative. There, the American actor wasted no time tweeting about his activities in the disaster-struck city in the province of Leyte.

Best known for his role as hotshot lawyer Harvey Specter in the hit legal drama, “Suits”, Macht was accompanied by no less than Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez and a truckload of military escorts.

He and his entourage, which included Globe Telecom officials and American photographer Darren Tieste, were warmly welcomed by residents.

Recently seen on TV5’s “Showbiz Police”, Torres-Gomez will soon host the Kapatid network’s upcoming new reality dance competition series “Celebrity Dance Battle”, which will follow a similar format as her defunct hit show “Shall We Dance”.

As part of its Project Wonderful program, Globe has undertaken initiatives that will benefit schools, homes, and livelihood opportunities. Macht’s visit to Ormoc is part of Globe’s efforts to bring global attention to its livelihood commitment. The telco hopes that more high-profile personalities will support the program in the days to come.

In another tweet, the 42-year-old actor asked and teased his followers if they were up for a meet-and-greet this Sunday, the venue of which he had yet to announce.

In any case, Macht seems to be very much enjoying his stay in the country. In his latest tweet, he said he would be doing something else in Los Angeles if he wasn’t spending his weekend in Manila.
