Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez treated guests at the launch party for PLDT Fibr on Monday night to a showcase of her soaring vocals. The event is just one of many Regine is expected to grace in her capacity as a PLDT-Smart endorser.

With PLDT and TV5 chairman Manny V. Pangilinan watching in appreciation, Regine could not avoid answering questions about her husband Ogie Alcasid’s reported negotiations for a possible transfer to TV5 from GMA.

“Kung saan masaya asawa ko I will support him… siyempre!” she said.

The singer-actress, a long-time GMA talent, saw no problems with the prospect of Ogie and her working for separate TV networks.

“Ako, siyempre sa Kapuso pa rin ako. Okay lang naman ‘yun,” she remarked.

Regine acknowledged the support of Smart and PLDT for her concerts, including her two “Silver” major solo concerts and the “Foursome” Valentine concert she and Ogie had with Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez.

Would she consider transferring to TV5, too?

“Hindi ko pa alam kung kailan mag-e-expire ‘yung contract ko,” she replied.

Meanwhile, Regine said she and Ogie are excited about plans for a repeat of “Foursome” next month.

“We’re very excited kasi we’re doing another one. So it’s very exciting and I wanna say thank you to everyone who watched the concert and sa mga hindi nakapanood, may chance pa po kayong makanood sa March 16,” she said.
