Rolling game show ‘Jeepney Jackpot’ hits the streets

This 30-foot-long jeepney houses a game show on wheels.

A unique game show from TV5 hit the streets on Monday, and it may just provide the relief Filipino commuters need from Metro Manila’s daily traffic gridlock.

“Jeepney Jackpot: Pera o Para” is a game show on wheels that lets six passengers play for cash and prizes. The game takes place right inside a 30-foot-long jeepney that also serves as a mobile studio.

The trip is hosted by Mr. Fu, Valeen Montenegro, and Saida Diola (“The Amazing Race Philippines”), with Alizon Andres at the wheel.

Mr. Fu promises a rewarding journey where no passenger goes home empty-handed. “Super swerte ito. Lahat ng sasakay, hindi bababa ng luhaan!” he said.

Six passengers can play the game inside the mobile studio.

The inaugural trip of “Jeepney Jackpot” on Monday began at the TV5 station in Novaliches and ended at the TV5 offices at the Marajo Tower in Taguig where a blessing ceremony was held for the Kapatid Network’s unique mobile studio.

In attendance were TV5 president and CEO Ray C. Espinosa, COO Bobby Barreiro, consultant Wilma Galvante, and News Head Luchi Cruz-Valdez.

Also present was Entertainment and Creative Head Perci Intalan, who beamed with pride at TV5′s latest programming innovation. “It’s a show na nakikita nila. Hindi sila kailangan pumunta ng studio para manood. Minsan makakasabay pa nila sa traffic,” he said.

He said “Jeepney Jackpot” is just a sample of the many unique and happy offerings TV5 has in store for its viewers in 2013.

'Jeepney Jackpot' offers a rewarding journey where no passenger goes home empty-handed.
