Kevin Pableo, founder of reputable concert blogsite Manila Concert Scene, has confirmed to InterAksyon that legendary rock band Aerosmith is slated to perform at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 8 as part of its ongoing Global Warming world tour.

Dubbed as “America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band”, Aerosmith is composed of guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joey Kramer and flamboyant lead singer Steven Tyler, who is also known to younger fans for his recent stint as a judge on the reality talent search series, “American Idol”.

Aerosmith is best known for such hits “Dream On”, “Sweet Emotion,” “Walk This Way”, “Dude Looks Like A Lady”, “Janie’s Got A Gun”, “Amazing”, “Crazy”, “Cryin’” and the monster rock ballad “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” in a career spanning five decades.

Having sold a total of 150 million albums worldwide, the band has shown no signs of slowing down as they released “Music From Another Dimension”, their 15th studio recording just last November.

Aside from Pableo and Manila Concerts Scene, the announcement of Aerosmith’s Manila Concert Scene was also posted online by the concert’s promoter, Pulp Live World Productions, a subsidiary of Pulp music magazine.

Tickets for the concert will be on sale at all SM Tickets outlets starting March 8. For more information, visit
