As well-wishers continued to pray for Dolphy’s recovery on Sunday, his longtime partner Zsa Zsa Padilla tweeted an Instagram photo of the King of Comedy’s intensive care unit room at the the Makati Medical Center as decorated by their daughter Zia.

“Happy Father’s Day! Dolphy’s ICU room decor made by Zia June 14,” the singer tweeted on Sunday morning.

The message also contained the Instagram link to a photo of a wall in the ICU adorned with a big cartoon whale with a doctor’s head mirror that says “Get Whale Soon!”

Also on the wall were a greeting card that says, “I guess I’m pretty lucky because I can spell “Hero” with only three letters: D-A-D,” a balloon that says “Number 1 Dad”, and three other greetings: “Happy Father’s Day,” “We’re Here For You” and “We Love You!”

Zia Quizon, 19, is the youngest daughter of Dolphy and, like her mother, is also a singer who recently released her debut album under PolyEast Records.

In updating Interaksyon.com with his father’s current condition, son Ronnie revealed that aside from pneumonia, Dolphy is also suffering from ileus or potassium deficiency.

Ileus, according to livestrong.com, is “a markedly low potassium level that may temporarily paralyze your bowel muscles, halting digestive system movement. This condition, known as paralytic ileus, is potentially life threatening if not treated urgently.

“Paralytic ileus causes severe and progressive abdominal bloating, belly pain, constipation, vomiting and an absence of normal bowel sounds. Paralytic ileus associated with a low potassium level resolves once the deficiency is corrected.”

Ronnie said Saturday night that his father “is responding very well to the treatments, and should recover soon if his condition continues to improve.”

Still, Dolphy’s condition remained serious enough for him to remain in the ICU because “breathing problems require immediate attention.”

Zsa Zsa has opted to stay at the bedside of her longtime partner, skipping her Sunday noontime show, “A.S.A.P.” and opting out of the star-studded “Icons at Mall of Asia Arena” concert Saturday night.

She was replaced by Rachel Alejandro, Dulce and Vernie Varga, who performed a medley of songs written by Louie Ocampo.

Meanwhile, Twitter continued to be flooded with an outpouring of support for the King of Comedy on Sunday as more industry colleagues tweeted their wish for his speedy recovery.
