MANILA – The Iloilo provincial police is investigating the owner of the house where lawmen shot dead Friday night alleged drug lord Richard Prevendido and his son Jason.

According to police Senior Supt. Marlon Tayaba, a certain “Espinosa” owns the house inside the Land Heights subdivision in Barangay Balibago, Jaro town, Iloilo.

Authorities at the same time warned certain policemen and politicians with dealings with the Prevendido drug group they can be traced through Prevendido’s cellphone and laptop found at the crime scene.

Meanwhile, the P1.1-million reward is being prepared for the parties who gave information leading to the neutralization of what is billed as the biggest drug group in Western Visayas.

Next on the police targets is Prevendido sub-group leader Ernesto Bolivar.

Tayaba, Iloilo provincial police director, said, “We need to get more details about the ownership ng bahay na ‘yan kung binili ba nya [of that house to find out if it was bought by whom].

“[Was it a] deed of sale or di pa na-transfer sa kanya [or it hasn’t been transferred in his name]? A certain Espinosa [is the] family name but we need to dig deeper on this.”
