MANILA, Philippines — The official website of the Colegio San Agustin in Makati was defaced
by alleged Chinese hackers.

The website (www.csa.edu.ph), however, remains active as of posting time.

The homepage was replaced by a page with the title “HACK by Chinese,” followed by Chinese text that, roughly translated, appears to refer to Chinese history.

This was followed by “The People’s Republic of China long live” with a huge Chinese flag at the bottom. The website was complete with background music.

Below the site are comments in Chinese. One of which roughly goes:

“Philippines, stay on your island. Do not always find trouble in China otherwise you will not like the ending.”

One comment stated in Chinese:

“Huangyan Island is China’s”

China refers to Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal as Huangyan Island.

The Philippines is locked in a territorial dispute with China over the Scarborough Shoal. A global protest was just concluded last Friday, which Beijing has already condemned.
