For the last three days, the BlackBerry service has been hit by outages that started in India and the Middle East, then crossed to Africa and Europe. By the time Research In Motion — the Canadian company that runs BlackBerry — found out what the problem was, pointing to a “core switch” glitch on their network, the trouble had already spread to Latin and North America.
