After day off because of jet lag, Pacquiao back in action

After taking a day off on Wednesday, citing that jet lag bothered him very much, Manny Pacquiao returned to the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood on Thursday to resume his training for the June 9 brawl with Tim Bradley in Las Vegas.
“There’s no cause for concern,” said Pacquiao’s Canadian adviser Mike Koncz from Los Angeles. “It’s jet lag, nothing else.”
Koncz said Pacquiao slept until 5 p.m. and felt recharged afterwards.
On Thursday, Pacquiao was back to his old self, sparring a total of eight rounds, three each with Ruslan Provodnikov and Rustam Nugaev and two rounds with a young turk.
Koncz said Pacquiao taking a day off is not really news to him as the Filipino had done exactly the same thing a few times during previous training camps.
Members of the American media were on hand on Wednesday and had to leave the gym with a heavy heart after Pacquiao didn’t show up for practice.
Trainer Freddie Roach, who has been calling the shots in Pacquiao’s corner since 2001, has invited them to be back next week.
