Anthony Johnson trying out as Talk ‘N Text replacement import

PBA
Paul Harris, the import who led Talk ‘N Text to a championship in last season’s Commissioner’s Cup, will need to come up with impressive games to keep his spot.
Anthony Johnson has been attending Tropang Texters practice to try out to replace Harris, with Talk ‘N Text near the bottom of the standings with a 1-3 win-loss record.
Johnson is a former import for Sta. Lucia and Coca-Cola in the PBA, and the Philippine Patriots in the Asean Basketball League.
Sheryl Reyes, Johnson’s local, confirmed this news to InterAKTV.
“He is obviously a top choice and a standby import for them since he is a good player and is currently here,” wrote Reyes in a text message.
Talk ‘N Text coach Chot Reyes said that Johnson has been attending practice, but no decision has been made to suit him up.
But Johnson isn’t quite at 100 percent condition yet.
“He’s coming off a foot injury,” wrote Sheryl Reyes in a text message. “It needed one week of rest after PRP shots, but during the ABL semis, he was forced to play less than a week after getting the shots. So it relapsed and had to be given new shots. His foot needs to be rested had to undergo rehab, so now it’s getting better.”
