Philippine national men’s football team members Angel Guirado and Paul Mulders will be back in the country to join Global FC, the United Football League powerhouse announced.
“Angel will be coming back (to) Global FC from his stint in India and Europe,” Global FC owner Dan Palami told InterAKTV. “(Mulders is still) completing papers.”
Guirado first joined Global in 2011 and helped the squad capture the League championship last year before taking his talents to India and his native Spain.
Mulders also made his debut for Global during the 2013 Singapore Cup where the team was able to reach the semifinals played. A veteran of many clubs in the Netherlands, he has expressed his interest to sign for a new club.
Guirado and Mulders, who both play as midfielders and secondary strikers for the Azkals, will boost the talent-laden lineup of Global, which already boasts of several national team members and top UFL imports.
They are expected to add bite to one the most potent offensive threats in the league, teaming up with the likes of Mark Hartmann, Ben Starosta, Izzo Elhabib and newly-signed Rufo Sanchez, whose rights are still disputed by Global and Stallion Sta. Lucia.
