After an impressive NBA Summer League debut one day before, former B-MEG Llamados import Denzel Bowles struggled against the Milwaukee Bucks, finishing with just five points and seven rebounds as the New Orleans Hornets crashed to their second loss in as many games, 76-68, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Bowles was a starter in his second Summer League game, but was much less effective in this one, making just one field goal in five attempts and being called for five fouls in close to 20 minutes on the floor.
There were some positives for Bowles, though, who posted team-highs in rebounds and blocks (three).
The Bucks led by eight after the first quarter and entered the final period with a comfortable 12-point advantage.
Milwaukee drew a double-double performance from another former PBA reinforcement, Meralco’s Jarrid Famous, who finished with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Bucks.
The Bucks were led by the 20 points of Doron Lamb and 19 from sophomore Tobias Harris while New Orleans was led by Lance Thomas, who scored 22.
The Hornets were again without top overall pick Anthony Davis.
