Bradley camp close to deal to face Pacquiao
The camp of Timothy Bradley will meet with Top Rank in the next couple of days to finalize the proposed June 9 fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Cameron Dunkin, who manages Bradley, told InterAKTV on Monday that while it has been reported that talks have been ongoing, there hasn’t really been any discussions the past few days.
Dunkin said he will present what Team Bradley wants when he talks with Top Rank head Bob Arum.
Bradley is also being updated about the status of the Pacquiao showdown and might even show up during the meeting.
A formal annoucement, originally set for Tuesday, might be moved to a later date sometime toward the end of the week.
Pacquiao adviser Mike Koncz is returning to Manila on Thursday morning with documents that Pacquiao will sign for approval.
Meanwhile, Dunkin, who also manages Nonito Donaire, said the Filipino’s left hand will be examined in Los Angeles to know whether he will be fit to fight again in May versus Jorge Arce of Mexico.
Donaire suffered the injury during his 12-round split decision win over Puerto Rican Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, over the weekend.
