Bradley confident in June 9 win, rematch with Pacquiao

LOS ANGELES – Juan Manuel Marquez and even Floyd Mayweather will have to wait in line before they get a crack at Manny Pacquiao.
Unbeaten American Timothy Bradley expressed supreme confidence on Tuesday, boasting that his June 9 fight with Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will just be the first of at least two matchups with the Filipino legend.
Bradley proudly posed for photos beside a poster heralding their Nov. 10 rematch.
Under the contract that Bradley signed for the Pacquiao fight, he will have no choice but to give Pacquiao a chance for revenge in case he wins their June 9 encounter.
It was Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum who revealed the rematch clause and Bradley said that will be the script.
Bradley said he won’t serve as a tuneup for Pacquiao’s fourth fight with Marquez or a much-awaited slugfest with Mayweather.
Appearing in front of the media at the Fortune Gym, Bradley said he has what it takes to pull off an upset owing to his preparation, determination and ring generalship.
While the Nov. 10 poster is obviously a spoof, Bradley looks at it differently and is confident that it will happen.
Meanwhile, it will be Pacquiao’s turn to showcase his wares when he does an open workout at the Wild Card in Hollywood under the watchful eyes of Freddie Roach.
Attending the affair are Arum and the rest of the Top Rank team and Pacquiao, chief trainer Freddie Roach and members of Pacquiao’s team will be available for interviews before the workout that starts at about 2:30 pm.
