LOS ANGELES – Veteran forward Lamar Odom, who started his career with the Los Angeles Clippers, was traded back to the National Basketball Association team in a four-team deal on Friday.

Odom, who was the fourth overall pick of the Clippers in the 1999 draft, was dealt by the Dallas Mavericks to the Clippers in the deal which also involved the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets.

The Clippers also traded guard Mo Williams to the Jazz. Williams exercised the $8.5 million option on his contract which allowed Utah to get him.

Dallas acquired Odom from the Los Angeles Lakers just prior to the start of the lockout shortened season in December.

Not happy with the Mavericks, Odom averaged a career low 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 50 games.

After being drafted, Odom spent his first four seasons with the Clippers. He played one year in Miami and then seven seasons with the Lakers.

In the 2010-11 season, he won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award.

As part of the trade, the Clippers sent the draft rights to Furkan Aldemir to Houston. Aldemir was the 53rd overall pick in this year’s draft.
