‘Congrats UST’ trends worldwide after Tigers’ victory over Ateneo

Moments after University of Santo Tomas stunned defending champion Ateneo in UAAP Season 75 action Thursday, fans on Twitter celebrated the victory, with the phrase “Congrats UST” becoming a worldwide trending topic.
Unheralded star Aljon Mariano scored 15 of his 21 points to help UST erase a 19-point deficit in the first half. Prior to the game, the Tigers lost 12 straight games to the Blue Eagles dating back in 2007.
