D-League: Big Chill guns for share of lead; Cebuana Lhuillier takes on Blackwater
Big Chill seeks the joint lead when it goes up against Café France Monday in the resumption of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Trinity University of Asia Gym.
The Superchargers hope to up their mark to 4-0 against the Bakers and join Freego Jeans on top of the team standings.
Big Chill coach Arsenio Dysangco is pleased with the start of Superchargers, their best so far in the short history of the franchise in the league.
“We are happy with the 3-0 start but of course, we still have to face the top teams in NLEX and Freego. But at least, nakauna na kami,” said Dysangco.
Big Chill survived a tough stand by DUB Unlimited before emerging with a 92-91 win last Monday.
“It is a good character development for us that we were able to pull through with it,” said Dysangco.
Big Chill will be facing Café France, a team coming off a high after a 78-73 victory over Cobra Energy Drink last Thursday, at 2 p.m.
In the second game, Cebuana Lhuillier looks to fight back after suffering its first defeat of the conference when they take on Blackwater.
The Gems bowed to Freego, 71-66, last Tuesday to drop to a 3-1 card. The Elite also suffered the same fate dropping a 72-68 decision against the Jeans Makers last November 10.
