Diliman Victory Liner FC kept its Division Two title hopes alive after blanking lowly Lions Meltique Beef FC, 6-0, in United Football League action Thursday at the University of Makati.

Forward Ariel Zerrudo blasted four goals to lead Diliman, which is still five points away from leaders Pachanga FC in the top of the standings with just three matches left in their schedule.

Diliman came out roaring in the first half, led by Zerrudo who nailed a goal in the 13th and the 24th minute, while forward Jose Andoni Santos also hit one in the 40th minute to help their team pull away with a 3-0 lead after the first half.

Zerrudo continued his rampage in the first half as he scored in a penalty kick in the 65th minute. Midfielder Bismark Frimpong also hit one in the 69th before Zerudo slotted another goal in the 85th minute to give Diliman its 16th win in 19 matches.

Aside from winning all of its remaining matches, Diliman, however, should also hope that Pachanga stumbles in their remaining games to capture the second division title and earn promotion to the Division One.
