For Paul Lee, not playing in finals more painful than shoulder injury

With his arm in a sling Rain or Shine star rookie Paul Lee could only watch helplessly on the sidelines as his team took on the B-MEG Llamados in Game Three of the Governors’ Cup finals.
Lee re-injured his left shoulder in the second game of the series and is expected to be out for the season. The pain, he said, affects his whole left appendage.
“Wala nga akong pakiramdam dun sa may parting daliri ko,” he said.
But more than the pain from his injury, what hurts most is not being able to help his team win its first title in franchise history.
“Sa tingin ko mas masakit yung part na hindi ako makakalaro kaysa sa injury ko,” Lee told InterAKTV.
Rain or Shine assistant coach Caloy Garcia said Lee, the leading candidate for the Rookie of the Year award, will undergo operation after the finals series.
But Elasto Painters coach Yeng Guiao said the team is dedicating the rest of the finals series to Lee. Earlier, the outspoken coach guaranteed the team will win “with or without Lee.”
“Paul Lee helped us get here, and the best way to compliment that is to finish the job,” said Guiao.
