From Olympics, Pau Gasol tweets message of support for the Philippines

Spanish superstar Pau Gasol on Tuesday tweeted a message of support for the Philippines, which has been ravaged by heavy monsoon rains leading to flash floods. Government estimates more than half a million families have ben affected.

The Los Angeles Lakers center is known for his humanitarian work, serving as an ambassador for Unicef. Last year, he also commiserated with victims of Typhoon “Pedring” in the Philippines.
