FVR, wife dismayed at Azkals for alleged sexual harassment of daughter Cristy Ramos
Former president Fidel V. Ramos and his wife, Amelita “Ming” Ramos, are dismayed at the Philippine national men’s football team for its involvement in an alleged sexual harassment incident involving for their daughter, former Philippine Olympic Committee president Cristy Ramos.
Speaking for the couple, Ming told News5 that she was expecting better behavior from the Azkals.
“She is an official of FIFA, she didn’t just go there to say ‘I’m a match commissioner.’ They should’ve respected her. Instead, they were laughing when she was checking their IDs,” she said.
“Let’s behave naman. Nakakahiya ang Pilipino.”
She also had a message for Azkals management and team leaders.
“I hope he teaches his members to behave better. Pakita naman natin that we can behave well.”
