Despite a lackluster performance from replacement import Reggie Okosa, Barako Bull managed to break away from Alaska to take Game One of their quarterfinals series. Barako’s veteran crew, led by Ronald Tubid and Danny Seigle, carried the fight for the Energy. More bad news for Alaska: two-time Best Import Gabe Freeman will suit up for Barako Bull.
On the other end, LA Tenorio was shackled in the fourth quarter, when he was held scoreless by Barako, while import Adam Parada couldn’t take advantage and had a sub-par ballgame.
Can the Aces turn things around in Game Two? Or will Barako Bull, powered by Freeman, set a date with the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters in the semis?
