Powerade was in prime position to clinch a semis seat in the PBA Governors’ Cup, but ended the elimination round on a three-game losing streak to drop to 4-5 and into a double playoff with Barako Bull and Meralco. Barako Bull could have gotten itself the one-game bye with a five-point win against Meralco in their last game, but allowed their 17-point lead to shrink down to just two at the end of the game.
Can the Energy book a rematch against the Bolts for a shot at the last semis berth? Or will it be the Tigers shrugging off their struggles to advance to the next step of the double playoff?
