Little Azkals defeat Malaysia in Japan tourney

The Philippine national Under-14 football team nailed a 2-1 victory over Malaysia on the second day of the Japan-East Asean Football Exchange Programme U-14 Youth Football Festival Wednesday in Osaka, Japan.

Jed Ramos Diamante exploded goals in the eight and the 13th minute to lead the Little Azkals, who split its first two matches Tuesday after winning over Brunei, 3-0, and losing to Indonesia, 2-0.

Due to the heavy rains, the Philippines’ match against Japan Wednesday afternoon was moved to Thursday.

Aside from Japan, the Little Azkals will face Singapore also on Thursday to cap off the festival, which aims to promote friendly relations between the Japanese and the Asean youth.
