Little Azkals to join Japan football fest

After a stint in Malaysia, the Philippine Under-14 team will be tested again as it participates in a football festival in Japan this June.

The Little Azkals will face the U-14 squads of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore in the Japan-East Asean Football Exchange Programme U-14 Youth Football Festival in Osaka, Japan from June 17 to 24.

The Philippines is coming off a decent campaign in the Asian Football Confederation Under-14 Festival of Football 2012 Southeast Asia Region in Malaysia, winning three games in nine matches with two draws in its card.

Playing for the Little Azkals coached by Oliver Colina are Marco Alessandro Casambre, Harrel Rainier Dayan, Josh Albert Miller, Ray Vincent Sanciangco and John William Abraham from Manila; Jeremiah Borlongan and Dimitri Lionel Limbo from Cagayan de Oro; Lawrence Colina, Major Dean Ebarle, Kintaro Miyagi, and Vincent Erik Lovitos from Cebu; Darius Joseph Diamante and Javier Romero-Salas from Davao; Christian Floren Lapas and Jose Anton Yared from Dumaguete; Sebastian Rafael Patangan from Dipolog; Mason Trent Vergara from San Carlos City; and Lorenzo Genco from Italy.
