Despite finding a new home in the Mckinley Hill Football Field, the United Football League expressed concerns about the readiness of the venue as the host of its matches for the upcoming League competition.
The UFL announced on Thursday that while most of its games will be played in the newly-constructed Mckinley Hill Football Field in Taguig City, the first two weeks of the competition, including the opening match on February 5, will be played at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
While the artificial pitch is already set, the venue is scheduled to open after the Chinese New Year.
The UFL is in talks with Megaworld to acquire management of the football field to give them more control in organizing the league’s matches there, Gannaban said.
Two years ago, the league signed a deal with Megaworld which will give UFL the priority on the field usage for the next four years.
