The Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals have dropped five of their last six games. Things figure to get tougher for the squad when they face the rejuvenated Perpetual Help Altas to open the NCAA Season 88 doubleheader Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Arena.
EAC and Perpetual clash at 4 p.m. before San Sebastian takes on Arellano University at 6 p.m.
Coming off a heartbreaking 65-62 loss at the hands of Letran at the Gov. San Luis Sports Complex in Sta. Cruz, Laguna last Wednesday, the Generals will have to deal with the Altas, who are getting great games from Earl Thompson and Femi Babayemi.
Perpetual is coming off a thrilling 94-88 victory over Mapua last Thursday for its fifth victory in seven outings.
EAC is counting on another solid game from Jorem Morada, who led all scorers in the Generals’ game against the Knights with 21 points.
In the second game, San Sebastian shoots for a share of the lead when it takes on Arellano.
After losing their opening match, the Stags are gunning for their fifth straight win behind the Pinatubo Trio of Calvin Abueva, Ronald Pascual, and Ian Sangalang.
Despite losing their last assignment in overtime against College of Saint Benilde, the Chiefs figure to be a tough matchup for San Sebastian because of emerging rookie James Forrester as well as veterans Rocky Acidre and Levi Hernandez.
