Olympic Swimming: Filipino bet Alkhaldi bows out in 100m freestyle

Filipino swimmer Jasmine Alkhaldi ended her London 2012 campaign on Wednesday after failing to advance to the semifinals of the 100m freestyle competition.
Alkhaldi posted a time of 57.13, putting her in fifth place in Heat 3 of the contest. Her time failed to put her in the top 16, who advanced to the semifinals.
The 19-year-old swimmer also failed to reach her goal of breaking her own personal-best mark of 56.92.
Chinese swimmer Tang Yi ruled the heats with a time of 53.28.
