SMART-Gilas Pilipinas coach Chot Reyes has a novel idea for PBA players to help out in relief efforts for calamity victims as a result of the torrential downpour that battered the country over the past couple of days.
Reyes said that a charity game is no longer necessary players and officials of each team were to donate P5,000 each.
No need for charity game. If ALL players & staff in d PBA (approx 200 pax) give P5k each, thats 1M pesos! Team caps, LESDUDIS!

Reyes, the executive director of the MVP Sports Foundation, promised that the organization will match the players’ donation if the amount reaches more than P1-million. (Manuel V. Pangilinan chairs the MVP Sports Foundation. InterAKTV is part of InterAksyon.com, the news portal of TV5, which he also chairs.)
If

Players and members of their families have already expressed receptiveness over Reyes’ idea.
