Pacquiao meets with Arum to discuss fight options

Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum met over dinner Tuesday in Los Angeles and the two discussed what’s down the road for the Filipino fighter.

Still smarting from the disputable 12-round split decision defeat to Timothy Bradley almost three weeks ago in Las Vegas, Pacquiao told the Top Rank big boss about what he intends to do next.

Arum has booked a Nov. 10 date for Pacquiao against an opponent to be named next month.

Pacquiao is set to study the options presented by Arum when he travels to Europe and Israel with his family this week.

Arum said on the list are Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto and even Floyd Mayweather, assuming Mayweather takes care of his legal problems.

Mayweather is currently locked up in prison and will only be out in late-August or early-September.

Pacquiao actually has the right to mandate Bradley to a direct rematch on Nov. 10 but facing Marquez for the fourth time or locking horns with Cotto look promising than meeting Bradley again.

The boxing world expressed its utter shock and disbelief when Nevada judges ruled the fight in favor Bradley.

Even the boxing body World Boxing Organization reviewed the 12-rounder and later ruled that the Filipino was the clear winner. The WBO, however, doesn’t have the authority to overturn the original ruling.
