The AirAsia Philippine Patriots remained in the lead in the ASEAN Basketball League after a month-long road trip, routing JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers, 82-70, Sunday night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Patriots swept their four-game road trip to remain on top of the team standings with an 11-2 win-loss record to increase their lead over the San Miguel Beermen by one and a half game.
The Beermen are in second place with a 10-4 win-loss record after suffering a 66-63 defeat at home over the Saigon Heat at the Ynares Arena last Saturday.
Anthony Johnson led the Patriots with 24 points while Nakiea Miller dominated inside with 22 points and 15 rebounds.
The closest the Slingers got was four points, 49-45, in the third period but Miller converted back-to-back baskets for a 55-45 lead.
The Patriots go back to playing at home on Saturday against the defending champion Chang Thailand Slammers at the Ynares Arena in Pasig.
