Wynne Arboleda is finally back with the Air 21 Express.
PBA commissioner Chito Salud on Thursday approved a trade that sends Arboleda from the Petron Blaze Boosters to the Express in exchange for Jojo Duncil.
The uniform of Air 21, a team owned by Arboleda’s father-in-law Bert Lina, is no longer new to Arboleda. Barako Bull, which released the veteran guard last week, carried the Express brand prior to the season.
Duncil, on the other hand, will go back to the Boosters, with whom he won the Governors’ Cup title last season.
PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial confirmed the approval of the trade to InterAKTV in a telephone interview.
“We need a player of Arboleda’s caliber,” Air 21 coach Franz Pumaren earlier said about Arboleda. “We need a veteran guard who can help a young team like us.”
Duncil, meanwhile, will provide depth at the shooting guard spot of Petron Blaze.
New recruit Marcio Lassiter and sharpshooter Dondon Hontiveros are still recuperating from injury.
