PCBL league leader Caida Tiles and Sta. Lucia will be favored to win over their respective rivals in the resumption of the Founders Cup on Monday at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
The Tile Masters are currently leading the tournament with a pristine 2-0 record and they will be gunning for a third straight victory when they take on sister team Racal Kama Motors at 4 p.m. in this tournament being supported by Spalding, Accel, Aquabest and Ambucore.
Caida will be coming off a 94-82 victory over Jumbo Plastic last week.
Sta. Lucia is also riding the momentum of a recent win against Supremo Lex and wants to make two in a row when the Realtors face the Foton Toplander in the main game at 6 p.m.
Kama Motors has not seen action since winning the opening game against Sta. Lucia in overtime and the team, which is being handled by Jing Ruiz, will bank on ex-pros JR Cawaling and Rudy Lingganay to lead the way.
Despite winning its first two games, Caida Tiles coach Mike Buendia said there is still plenty of room for improvement for the squad.
“We have to take care of our turnovers and also, because we’re a small team, we have to do a better job in rebounding,” said Buendia.
