Petron looking for temporary replacement for injured Basden

With import Eddie Baden suffering a knee injury, Petron Blaze Boosters are in search of a temporary reinforcement in their bid to retain their Governors’ Cup crown.
Basden scored just seven points in his team’s 98-97 squeaker over the Air 21 Express on Friday, but still played tough defense down the stretch against counterpart Zach Graham.
Petron coach Ato Agustin revealed the import’s condition during the post-game interview.
“He hurt his jumper’s knee (left knee). Masakit na yun noong game pa namin sa Rain or Shine,” said Agustin. “Yung mga ganung injury, pinapahinga raw yun ng mga two weeks.”
Agustin said the team is already looking for a temporary replacement, but couldn’t fly in one in time for the game against Air 21.
“There were names given to us, pero wala pa kaming decision. We were supposed to get Tim Pickett, pero hindi siya magiging available kaagad,” added Agustin.
Pickett suited up for the Meralco Bolts in the Governors’ Cup last season, but was replaced by Champ Oguchi after suffering an injury.
