Petron plans to play Dondon Hontiveros in next game

After missing eight months of action, Dondon Hontiveros is finally making his return for the Petron Blaze Boosters.
Team consultant Rajko Toroman confirmed the latest development to InterAKTV on Tuesday.
“He will be back. He was already cleared by the doctor to play, so we expect him to play in our next game,” Toroman said in a telephone interview.
Hontiveros has been sidelined since October after suffering a torn ACL. He is expected to take the court up for the Boosters against the B-MEG Llamados on June 17.
His return will give additional depth to the Boosters’ wing rotation. Rookie Chris Lutz returned to the lineup at the start of the conference, while Joseph Yeo has been a mainstay at the spot. The Boosters also recently acquired Jojo Duncil to bolster the team.
Promising newcomer Marcio Lassiter, who was acquired by Petron in a blockbuster multi-player deal prior to the tournament, is still recuperating from a hand injury.
The return of Hontiveros gives Petron reason for hope despite a string of defeats.
“We’re pretty confident we can be able to pull it through in our next games even though we lost our last two games, our confidence level is higher now with the addition of Hontiveros,” said Toroman.
