PFF launches nationwide tryouts for Teen Azkals squad
The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has launched a nationwide search for the new members of the Philippine Under-17 and Under-19 squads, known as the Teen Azkals.
Tryouts will be conducted on July 7 and July 8 at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City and on Aug. 4 to Aug. 12 at the San Carlos City, Negros Occidental football grounds.
PFF technical director Aris Caslib said that the search is crucial for strengthening the foundation of the youth teams, which would be beneficial to the country’s success in the international scene.
“National team development in any country is always based on the strength of grassroots and national youth teams,” Caslib said in a statement. “Supporting our age group teams will help us keep the momentum forward.”
