The Philippines is officially getting ready to make a bid to host the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
In his Twitter account, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Manuel V. Pangilinan revealed that the group has already received the documents to make the bid official.

The country successfully hosted last year’s FIBA Asia Championships, where the Philippine national men’s basketball team earned qualification for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain.
Gilas Pilipinas is currently competing in the FIBA Asia Cup in Wuhan, China as part of their preparations for the World Cup.
