The NFL-leading Seattle Seahawks (10-1) held fund-raising efforts for super typhoon “Yolanda” relief and Filipino-American wide receiver Doug Baldwin Jr. was at the forefront of it, carrying the Philippine flag onto the field before their game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Baldwin decided to carry the Philippine colors in reverse to signal a battle against the devastation of the super typhoon.
According to the team’s Twitter account, the team raised over $12,000 during the game and the amount will be matched by owner Paul Allen to total over $24,000, which will be coursed through the Red Cross in western Washington.
