PHOTOS | Team Philippines to the Homeless World Cup helps flood victims
Last July, Team Philippines appealed for support to help the squad pursue a stint in the 2012 Homeless World Cup. Lacking funds, the squad’s stint to the worldwide tournament slated on October in Mexico remains in danger.
But this did not prevent them from helping victims of flashfloods brought by intense monsoon rains on Tuesday. Despite the bad weather, the team went to two evacuation centers in Angono, Rizal to serve lugaw to the evacuees from Brgy. Kalayaan in the nearby Cainta. Photos from the team’s Facebook account.
