Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao continued his verbal shots against B-MEG coach Tim Cone shortly after the Elasto Painters’ 85-80 loss to the Llamados in Game Two of the Governors’ Cup finals.
“Tim Cone asked helped from the referee and he got a lot of help,” said Guiao moments after the game.
Cone fired the first salvo against officiating after Rain or Shine’s victory in Game One, complaining about the physicality.
In an interview with the Philippine Star, Guiao called Cone’s complaints “pathetic,” saying the American coach was asking for help from the referees.
Guiao added that unlike his counterpart, he would not offer up any excuses.
Cone, for his part, earlier refused to engage Guiao in a word war.
