After a long break in action, defending champion San Beda resumes its NCAA Season 88 campaign when it clashes with skidding Mapua on Thursday at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Red Lions and the Cardinals do battle at 6 p.m. after the opening tussle of Letran and Lyceum at 4 p.m.

San Beda, which is looking for its fifth win in six games, was slated to play last August 21 against the Knights, but the game was postponed because of inclement weather. The Red Lions haven’t played since a July 19 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Mapua, on the other hand, has lost three straight games.

Meanwhile, the Knights are coming off two straight victories and are looking to pounce on the Pirates, which is reeling near the bottom of the standings with a 2-6 record.

Kevin Alas, Jam Cortes, and Jonathan Belorio are once again expected to carry the fight for Letran. Lyceum, meanwhile, will rely on Chris Cayabyab and Shane Ko.
