4. Jay Washington

As an athletic big man with a soft touch from the outside, there were big expectations for J-Wash when he joined the Welcoat camp. He didn’t disappoint, leading the team to the finals of the 2004-05 Open Championship against the Montaña Pawnshop Jewellers.
But Washington struggled in the deciding Game Five of that series, scoring just two points in a frustrating performance.
However, J-Wash showed that he was made of sterner stuff, leading the team to the finals in the very next conference against the same Montaña squad. This time, Welcoat won the series, 3-1, with Washington scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to win finals MVP honors.
