UAAP: NU notches second straight win after rout of Adamson Marquez Marquez

Defending champion NU Bulldogs notched their second straight win of the season after dispatching the Adamson Falcons, 75-54, in UAAP Season 78 action Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Alfred Aroga came up with 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the Bulldogs who, after dropping their first three games, finally got their rhythm and won their last two.

Gelo Alolino and Ralph Tansingco added 10 points apiece for NU which dominated the whole game and led by as much as 25 points.

The Bulldogs’ defense was key in the win as they limited the Falcons to just 32.26 percent shooting (20-of-62) compared to NU’s 46.67 (28-of-60).

NU also shackled Adamson in the second quarter and only allowed nine points from the Falcons for a 33-28 halftime lead before breaking away.

The defeat kept Adamson winless in five games. The Falcons were led by Ivan Villanueva’s 11 markers.
