UAAP: Streaking NU grabs 3rd straight win at expense of slumping UP Marquez Marquez

Defending champion NU Bulldogs notched their third straight win at the expense of the slumping UP Fighting Maroons, 68-52, in UAAP Season 78 action Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Gelo Alolino scored 16 points and drained four triples to lead the NU charge.

Big man Alfred Aroga added a monster effort of 12 points and 22 boards as the Bulldogs, who dropped their first three games of the season, now reached the .500 mark with a 3-3 slate after winning their last three outings.

NU almost led the entire game and padded its cushion to as big as 17 points to take the fight out of the Fighting Maroons.

Jett Manuel made 16 points to lead UP which, after winning its first two games, lost its last three to settle for a 2-3 slate.
