UFL 2012 Preview: 12 burning questions

Who are the best foreign talent in the league?
Jamlang: As football is widely considered the global game, when you’re talking about foreign talents, there are plenty in the UFL, and they are spread out among the clubs quite nicely, barring of course the Armed Forces squads. But among the plethora of players from overseas, it’s Izzeldin Elhabib that sits in a class above. Although Izo was arguably not at his devastating best in the Cup, the Sudanese striker still showed enough skill to prove he won’t be a welcome sight to any defender. With a big strong frame and deceptively silky ball control, the Global forward will certainly be a man to watch.
Fenix: Izo Elhabib is undoubtedly the most accomplished foreign talent in the league, leading Global’s attack with his incisive runs and cool finishing. His goals have powered Global to numerous titles, solidifying his reputation as a big game player. It has been said that wherever Izzo goes, Global go and on many occasions, Izzo has led his team to glory and silverware.
Taku Yoshioka’s name may not ring a bell for most fans of the UFL, but his return to the Loyola Meralco Spark’s side might just be what the doctor ordered for the men in orange. The Japanese midfielder is a prolific scorer and playmaker and would be one to watch for Loyola.
